The rooms come with wooden flooring, and the walls a flat stonework, besides an attached bath complete with toiletries and a supply of hot and cold running water, satellite television, comfortable double bed, looking mirror and side table among others. Spend leisurely afternoons in your private balcony viewing the panorama of hills, terrace fields, Rumtek Monastery, Rani Khola river and Gangtok town. Or curl up with a book at the well-stocked library.
The entire retreat is connected with stone paved pathways which lead up and down the hill into the dense forest and orchid nursery. Trail into the wilderness and pause for a moments relaxation on the benches scattered along the forest area.
The cozy dining hall is just the place to feast on delectable local Sikkimese cuisine. In fact, your preferences in food and dietary restrictions are taken care of while preparing meals. The supply of vegetables and milk come from the in-site kitchen garden supporting organically grown vegetables, besides a herd of cows. Do not miss out to sample some chaang, a locally brewed alcoholic beverage made of millet.
